More about me:
I am a Hispanic and Bilingual Spanish/English Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. As a therapist, my desire and passion is to help couples, individuals, and families to heal, reconnect, and restore their relationships to change this generation one family at a time. When the family can provide care and comfort and is emotionally available in times of need to its members, each person is closer to living healthier and having successful relationships.
With a wealth of experience and advanced training in a variety of evidence-based models, I am well-equipped to assist individuals of all ages, couples, and families. My expertise includes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am also a certified Domestic Violence Counselor. Additionally, I am certified to use AIM-HI Intervention, an evidence-based intervention to decrease challenging behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder from the ages of 5 years old to 13 years old.
I received my Master's degree at Azusa Pacific University in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have had the privilege of working with couples, children, youth, individuals, and families. I have also served my church community for more than 15 years as a facilitator for small groups for women and premarital and marital counseling. In addition to serving my community church, I have enjoyed facilitating parenting workshops and hosting guest speakers to equip parents with helpful resources to strengthen their family units.
I grew up in Mexico with my family, then moved to San Diego, California, where I completed my studies as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been married for 15 years, and I love making new memories with my husband and son, who are my biggest blessing and priority in life. We love traveling, bike riding, being outdoors, and trying new food.
Every family I work with is not just a client but a potential generation in which I am dedicated to helping transform, restore, and equip to live in healthier relationships. My commitment to your family's well-being is unwavering, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
If you are looking for help because you are struggling in a relationship, feel depressed, or need to talk to someone, I will be privileged to walk with you on this journey.
“See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff. But you will rejoice in the LORD.”
—Isaiah 41:15
Trauma, hardship, and broken relationships can feel like mountains, but I hope we can make the hills like chaff together.
