Life can be filled with disappointment, stress, pain, and loss that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, alone, and vulnerable. During these times of struggle it can be difficult to find hope that things can change, improve, or ever be okay again. I am dedicated to helping those who find themselves in positions that often seem impossible to overcome. I believe an abundant, peaceful, and joy filled life is available for those who seek to change unhealthy patterns in their lives, improve their relationships, and strive to be the best versions of themselves.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, group therapy and Motivational Interviewing, an EMDRIA trained Level II Certified EMDR therapist, and a Gottman trained marriage therapist. I have a wide range of counseling experience including performance enhancement, parenting, marriage, trauma, grief, crisis, depression, anxiety, codependency, and anger management. I am dedicated to meeting clients where they are, guiding them to find comfort in their own decisions without judgement or ridicule.

My EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing) training has been particularly helpful for those suffering from debilitating anxiety and depression, complicated PTSD, phobias, and traumatic experiences such as tragic car accidents, and being victims of crime.  Also, personally a victim of crime, I understand where clients are coming from in dealing with traumatic events. It is truly rewarding to see clients healing and experiencing freedom through the use of this evidence-based technique.

I also have an increased desire to use my EMDR knowledge to help those in competitive fields such as athletics, the performance arts, academics, and business become the best versions of themselves.

My experience in competitive sports and over 20 years of corporate management has taught me the necessity of mental strength and stamina to excel. I guide clients through their maladaptive thought processes which cause doubt, fear and anxiety that prohibits them from reaching their potential whether it be in sports, school, or career.

I have been married for 25 years and have two children. Marriage and family are both very important to me and I strive to model the principles that I teach in my own life. I am passionate about joining with those who struggle with the responsibility of juggling career and family and managing the stresses of both. Along with family, my many years of experience in business has uniquely equipped me to partner with those who face these challenges and hope to find balance in their lives. I have witnessed clients succeed in saving their marriages and developing closer knit families. 

I combine faith-based principles, proven psychological theories and clinical education to help my clients reach their goals for treatment. I truly believe that “the Lord is my shield, my glory, the One who lifts my head high” (Psalm 3:3), and through His wisdom and guidance I hope to help guide and mentor my clients toward a place of joy and success.
